Obituary for Geraldine Ann "Gerry" Russell
Millinocket - Geraldine Ann Russell, 85, passed away Tuesday February 12, 2019, at a Bangor long term care facility. She was born October 3, 1933, in Millinocket, the daughter of Hally and Odile (Dionne) Plourde.
Gerry loved music and would often be heard singing. She enjoyed playing games especially cards and dice. Gerry also liked getting together with friends having coffee in the morning and then soda in the afternoon at McDonalds. She was a communicant of St. Martin Of Tours and a member of the Emblem Club of the ELKS. She will be sadly missed by all the wonderful staff at Westgate who took such excellent care of her over the past five plus years.
She is survived by two daughters: Pamela Ryan of Crystal, Cindy Dicentes and her husband Anthony, two sons: Jay Russell and his wife Dawn O'Connor of Redmond, OR, Carl Russell and his wife Susan of Saco, grandchildren: Patrick York, Jeremy York and his fiance Monica Noyes, Dani Davis and her husband Nick, Willis Dicentes and his wife Amanda, Lauren and Meghan Russell, Conor and Jack McCue, two great grandchildren: Jaxson Davis and Wesley Dicentes. She also leaves behind a brother Bernard Plourde and his wife Florence, and three sisters-in-law: Jean Plourde, Neanie Sawyer, and Patricia Russell, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Willis C. Russell, a son Scott Russell, a sister Vivian Jay, two brothers: L. Harold (Herk) Plourde, Roger Plourde, and a son-in-law Timothy Ryan.
There will be no services at this time. A graveside service will be conducted 10 AM Saturday May 18, 2019 at Millinocket Cemetery with the Rev. Bruce Sinket officiating.
