Obituary for Gerald Sage Jr.

Lincoln - Gerald Sage Jr., 66, passed away peacefully at his home on December 22, 2022. He was born March 27, 1956, to Gerald and Elsie (Dunton) Sage. After attending Penobscot Valley High School, he spent many years working in the woods. He also worked on the railroad for Canadian Pacific, as a crane operator for Cianbro, for his own company, G. K. Sage Trucking, and as a heavy equipment operator for Tate Brook Timber Co.
Gerald loved anything with a motor, but only if it was modified and "Souped" up. He was a hot rod enthusiast and spent countless hours in his garage tinkering on cars, snowmobiles, go-carts, remote control cars and airplanes and shooting the breeze with his buddies. In earlier years, he enjoyed going to camp on South Branch Lake and playing cribbage and poker with friends and family.
He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (Sage) Cassio and husband, Shane, of Waterboro, former wife of twenty-four years, Darlene (Day) Sage and stepdaughter, Lindsay (Cooper) Harrington, of Hampden; sisters, Peggy (Sage) Knowles and husband, Brian, of Palmyra, and Marjorie Sage of Maxfield; grandchildren, Lacey, Jason, Stella and Hank; nieces, Jolie, Carolyn, Cathy, and Jeanne, ten great-nieces and great-nephews, many cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his parents and his beloved son, Jason Nicholas Sage.
No services will be held at this time. Graveside services and a celebration of life will be held later next spring. Arrangements are by Lamson Funeral Home, Clay Chapel, Lincoln. Messages of condolence may be expressed at Gerald's Book of Memories at lamsonfh.com.
