Obituary for George E. Lynch

George E. Lynch
East Millinocket - George "Pat" Lynch son of James and Marguerite Lynch passed away peacefully on Thursday May 31 of 2018. Pat was born November 20, 1938. Upon graduation he became employed with the Great Northern Paper Company and retired after 41 years. He was an adept machinist and was very proud of his trade. He was a very active and proud supporter of his high school heritage.

Pat was a sweet gentle man loved by all those who knew him. In his younger years he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also told many a story of being an Altar Boy and how he would get up early to go to the church before school to prepare for mass. One of his best stories was being a lifeguard. Pat was very proud to tell the story of meeting his one and only love, Maria, at the Millinocket pool. Pat and Maria were married 52 years and had four children. As soon as his children were old enough to play Pat was very involved in sports with the boys. He had many stories of his coaching years to tell. He also loved the years he spent at Jo Mary and Cedar Lake with his family. After Maria's passing in 2011 Pat found great comfort in a wonderful dog he named Milo. His favorite pass time was going for rides with Milo and his brother Jimmy or his Brother in law Fred Boyer. Pat loved his rides to the coast with Nancy and Tim and the dinners she made weekly. He looked forward to that time each week with them. Pats face would light up at the sight of his grandchildren both human and fury.

Pat was predeceased by his parents, brother Fredrick, son Steven and grandson Christopher. Pat is survived by his daughter Nancy Perkins and her fiancé Tim Schoonmaker of Veazie , son Fredrick Lynch and wife Kelly of Sanford, and son Greg Lynch and his wife Audra of Bradley. Grandchildren Jamie Marquis and her husband Don, Jason Tapley and his fiancé Jessica, Jessica Jourdain and her husband Joseph, Billy Lynch and his wife Nicole, Tyler Lynch and his fiancé Savannah Wintle, Chelsea Lynch, Ryan Federico and his fiancé Morgan.
