Lincoln – George A. “Buddy” Drummond, III, 58, left us too soon on Sunday, January 1, 2023. He was born April 18, 1964 in Lincoln, the son of George and Geraldine (Michaud) Drummond, Jr.
Buddy was a graduate of Penobscot Valley High School, class of 1982. He served in the US Coast Guard for 14 years active duty, and 11 years as a reservist. He most recently worked at Vista Energy in Veazie. Buddy was a generous and loving soul – well known and much beloved by all with whom he encountered. A loyal family man, he especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Buddy is survived by his wife of 22 years, Shawne (Shorey) Drummond; four children, Nicholas Drummond, Alex Drummond and his wife Kaitlyn, Kaitlyn Moran, and Cody Moran; five grandchildren, Marley James, Jace Moran, Madison Moran, Leah Adams, and Liam Adams; a sister, Lisa Lyons and her husband Neil and their son Cody; two uncles Paul Michaud and David Michaud; an aunt, Norma Preble; his mother in law and father in law, Crystal and Otis Shorey; and several cousins and friends, too numerous to list. Buddy will also be missed by the mother of his sons, Kendra Moholland. He was predeceased by his parents.
Memorial services will be held 2 PM Friday, January 6 at the Lamson Funeral Home, Clay Chapel, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Military honors will be presented immediately following the services at the MS Gary Gordon Monument in Lincoln.
