Obituary for Gary Lyle "Swampy" Worster
Lee – Gary “Swampy” Worster, 52, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at his home. He was born September 19, 1969 in Lincoln to Delmont and Shirley (Smith) Worster. He was the loving husband of Hollie Raymond Worster.
Gary was a 1987 graduate of Lee Academy. He went to work for Thompson Trucking right out of high school. He was a loyal and dedicated employee for almost 35 years. He was a wonderful husband, son, brother, uncle and great friend. He and Hollie travelled all over the United States and loved to cruise the Caribbean. He loved to hunt John’s fields, fish the “Goot”, gamble, listen to Country Gold, and throw One Hell of a Party. He was always up for a good time with family and friends.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sisters, Gail Worster and Darryl of Prentiss, Deirdre LaPlante of Lee, Marcia Worster of Kingman, and Dawn Worster and Troy of Winn; father and mother in law Terry and Paula Raymond of Lee; brother in law Tee Raymond and Brooke of Mattamiscontis; many nieces and nephews, Kristy, Ashlee, Zachary, Vicki, Derek, Brooke, Tiara, Calob, Gracelinn, Darian, Emmerick, Harleigh, Zayne, Karson, and Landon; a special uncle and aunt, Gary and Juanita Smith of Prentiss; and many special friends, too numerous to list. He was predeceased by his parents.
Friends are invited to visit with the family 2-4 & 6-8 PM Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at the Lamson Funeral Home, Clay Chapel, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. A graveside service will be held May 21 at 12 PM at Woodlawn Cemetery with a Celebration of Life from 2:00 to 6 PM at Sleeping Bear Campground, Lee Maine.
