Howland – Ethel May Garland, 91, died July 26, 2022, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bangor. She was born August 27, 1930, in Ellsworth Falls, to David Webber and Helen Jellison Webber.
She married Crowell H Garland, JR on June 15, 2002. They met at the Milo Pentecostal Church and made a blended family of their children.
Ethel leaves behind her children Priscilla Hanscom Clark and her husband, Gary of Howland, Nathanael Hanscom of Enfield, Amanda Stratton and her life partner, David “Jake” Goudreau of Albion and Crowell Garland and his husband, Carl Jones of Seals Cove and Dale Hess of Howland. She also leaves behind 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 2 great – great grandchildren. Ethel was predeceased by her twin sons Daniel and David Hanscom and a grandson, Hal Stratton Sr.
