Obituary for Erma Grant
Mattawamkeag and Brunswick - Erma Jean Grant, 76, passed away on November 30th, 2020 peacefully at Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick after suffering a stroke.
Erma was a dedicated wife, mother and friend. She was a wonderful homemaker and worked as a personal care assistant later in life. She loved being around family and friends. She had a passion for cooking and there was always fresh baked desserts and hot coffee or tea when guests came to visit. She had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren and especially enjoyed picking them up at school and going to ball games or dance recitals. The kids looked forward to their “special treat” from Grammie when she saw them.
Erma was born on February 29th, 1944 in Stacyville to the late Elzie and Cathryn Blakely (Cummings). She was a long time resident of Mattawamkeag Maine where she lived with her husband Aldana Liston Grant of 35 years until his passing.
Erma leaves behind a son Joe Grant and his wife Melissa; 3 grandchildren Zachary, Macy and Brayden Grant; siblings Ardis Baker, Vernal (Mac) Blakely and his wife Phyllis; Doris Heath, sister-in-law Earlene Grant and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at the Mattawamkeag Cemetery at a date to be announced. Arrangements are by Lamson Funeral Home, Clay Chapel, Lincoln.
