Obituary for Emily May Farmer (Rendlett)

Lincoln – Emily May (Randlett) Farmer, 85, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 13, 2022. She was born December 18, 1936 in Isleboro, the daughter of Eben M. and Roberta (Colcord) Randlett.

Emily grew up in Camden, and was a graduate of Camden High School, class of 1955. She went on to further her education at Husson College, graduating in 1956. Emily married Joseph E. Farmer in 1956 and they remained together until her death. She worked at the Great Northern Paper Company Woodlands Division in Millinocket for 25 years as a secretary. She was a charter member and officer of Katahdin Friends Incorporated and served on the Human Rights Committees of Treats Falls House, Abbott Group Home, and the Charlotte White Center.

Emily is survived by her husband, Joseph E. Farmer; two daughters, Michelle E. “Mickey” Farmer, and Katharine Ann Aylward and her husband Tate; two granddaughters, Angela Marie Craft and Miranda Jo Ullrich and her husband Jeff; great grandchildren Kamron, Alexandra, Emily, and Elizabeth; a brother in law, Robert Farmer; a sister in law, Marilyn Farmer; and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated later in the springtime, with burial at St. Benedict’s Cemetery in Benedicta. Gifts in memory of Emily may be sent to Creative Options, 175 Union Street, Suite B, Bangor, ME 04401. Arrangements are by Lamson Funeral Home, Lincoln.
