Obituary for Emilio "Emile" Rossignol

Medway- Emilio (Emile) Rossignol, 67, died January 23, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family after a short courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born November 14, 1952 in Guerette, Maine the son of Percy and Rosalie (Dionne) Rossignol. Emilio graduated from Fort Kent Community High School the class of 1971 and Northern Maine Vocational Technical Institute the class of 1974. Emilio enjoyed a 45 year career as an Electrician during which time he worked in construction, ran his own business and worked at Great Northern Paper Company in Millinocket and East Millinocket.

Emilio always had a strong work ethic and took great pride in his work. He truly loved what he did and enjoyed all the people he met along the way. He was a selfless man who would drop everything to be there to help anyone. He thoroughly enjoyed spending quality time with his friends and family especially at family gatherings at his camp on Cedar Lake. More than anything he cherished his time with his two grandchildren, Nathan and Natalie. He will truly be missed by everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Charleen (Daigle) Rossignol of Medway; son Michael and wife Cortney of Winslow; two very special grandchildren Nathan and Natalie also of Winslow; mother Rosalie of Caribou; three sisters, Joan and husband Dave Martin of Caribou; Laurie Rossignol and Dori Janiek both of Connecticut; two brothers, Fred of Virginia; and Sam and wife Carrie of Colorado; mother-in-law Corinne Daigle of Sinclair; sister-in-law Joyce and husband Dave Pelletier of Wallagrass; two brothers-in-law James Daigle and wife Lisa of Litchfield; and Robert Daigle of Poland. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews, all of whom were special to him, as well as many close friends and extended family who held a special place in his heart. Emilio was predeceased by his “Baby Girl” Dawn; father Percy; sister Mary Martin; nephew Scott Martin; niece Renee Martin; father-in-law Dick Daigle; and sister-in-law Linda Ouellette.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in East Millinocket with Rev. Bruce Siket officiating on Saturday, February 1st at 11 a.m., with visitation prior, from 9-11. A luncheon will follow after at the Parish Center.
