Obituary for Elizabeth "Betty" Ann Phillips (Dansack)

Millinocket - Elizabeth (Betty) Ann Phillips, 87, passed away at Katahdin Health Care LLC on February 9, 2020. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on May 5, 1932 and grew up on the East Side (Birmingham). Betty was educated by nuns at St. Ursula Academy in Toledo.

She was a faithful servant in the Catholic Church and looked forward to mass every week. Betty was fluent in Hungarian and was known to make her much-loved Chicken Paprikash for family gatherings. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by those who knew her.

Betty is survived by her husband David, her daughter Karen and husband Richard Harmon of Millinocket, her daughter Diane and husband Tom McDowell of Yarmouth and her son Mike. She will also be missed by her grandchildren, Joshua and wife Heather, Samantha and husband Cody Herring, Abigail, Nicole, Lily and William and two great-grandchildren Mia and Theo. Betty cherished her beloved nieces, her dear friend Frank “Fritz” Lesinszki and her cat Molly.

Friends and family are invited to visit from 10-11AM on Friday, February 14, 2020 at Christ the Divine Mercy Parish, St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 19 Colby Street, Millinocket, with the Rev. Bruce Siket, pastor, presider. Funeral service will be held at 11AM.
