Obituary for Edwin Eben "Squeak" Tash Sr.

Edwin “Squeak” Eben Tash Sr, 75, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 27, 2019 at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 18, 1943 in Chester, the son of Arnold Sr. and Dossie (Ireland) Tash.

He married Mary A. Harmon on February 1, 1964. In his early teenage years he began his life long career working in the woods running skidder and hauling wood. He loved taking family camping trips with friends and family, hunting, and fishing. Edwin enjoyed many trips into “camp” with his children and grandchildren, cooking big meals on the wood cook stove.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his parent in-laws, Everett and Harriet Harmon; brothers, Carter, William Sr., and Gene Sr.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Mary A. (Harmon) Tash; children, Julie and Jeff Murchison, Luke and Sandy Tash, Penny Hurd and her, Fiancé Torry Stevens, Diane and Colin Jipson, Edwin Jr. “Tiger” and Ann Tash, Wendy and Scott Porter, Molly and Paul Snowdale, and Jared and Christy Tash; grandsons, Jeff Jr. “J.J.”, Jason and Josh Murchison, Shane and Ryan Hurd, Jeremy Jipson, Tyson and Tyler Tash; granddaughters, Jill and Jessica Murchison, Stephanie Markie, Ashlee Jipson, Kassie Lord, Kayte-Lynn Hockridge, Marley Bubar, Natalie and Gabrielle Tash; brothers, Arnold Jr. “Sonny”, Emden Sr., James Sr., Thomas Sr., Roscoe Sr. and Charles Sr.; sisters, Pearl Scavone, Arlette Richard, Becky Theriault, Marilyn Reed and Marlene Daley; cousin and life-long best friend, Darrell Tash; several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, sister-in-laws and brother in laws. He will be deeply missed by his dog, Stump and his cat, Bad Boy and his pet turkey, Alice.

Friends are invited to visit with the family 6-9 P.M. Friday, May 3, 2019 at Lamson Funeral Home, Clay Chapel, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Graveside services will be held 1 P.M . Saturday May 4, 2019 at the South Chester Cemetery with the Rev. William “Billy” Chesley officiating.
