Obituary for Edward Theodore "Inky" McCafferty Jr.

Lincoln–Edward Theodore McCafferty, Jr. (“Inky”),92 Passed away on Wednesday August 10, 2022 at his home on the Little Narrows in Lincoln. He was born August 12, 1929 in Winn, the son of Edward Theodore McCafferty, Sr. and Evelyn Katherine (Kilbride) McCafferty. Edward grew up in Mattawamkeag and attended school there, graduating from Mattawamkeag High School. He worked most of his careers a Papermaker at the Great Northern Paper Company in East Millinocket. Edward married Ione Susie Burke on April 16,1949 in Mattawamkeag. He was a 32nd Degree Scottish & York Rite Master Mason at Pine Tree Lodge in Mattawamkeag and a Shriner at the Anah Shrine Temple in Bangor. Edward is survived by three children, Dale F. McCafferty and his wife Ann, Pamela Sue Wotton and Brian E. McCafferty and wife Beth; Grandchildren Danielle Schaub, Tristan McCafferty, Dale Wotton, Chelsea McCafferty and Jordon Harris; Great Grandchildren Levi & Lily Schaub, Wiley & Ohlin McCafferty, Taylor Wotton, Emery Colbath, and Reagan & Parker Harris. He is also survived by a sister, Virginia Haynes and a brother, Doug McCafferty and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He will also be missed by a special nephew, Gary Walker. He was predeceased by his parents, his wife Ione, a sister Vivian, and a brother Richard. At his request there will be no funeral services.
