East Millinocket – Dwayne A. “Keysey” Bartlett, Jr., 25, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2022 in Bangor. He was born November 1, 1996 in Key West, Florida, the son of Dwayne A. and Cozetta (Durbin) Bartlett.
Keysey attended schools in Florida and North Carolina before memorably sailing to Maine with his family and settling in East Millinocket in 2007. Keysey loved hiking Katahdin, fishing, sailing, and anything having to do with the water. He will be remembered as a kindhearted and generous person and was loved by those who knew him. Keysey loved being the center of attention and would go to any lengths to be there. At Schenck High School, he was the Wolverine mascot at basketball games, which fit right in with his personality. Keysey made a lasting impression with everyone he met, and will be remembered for his tenacity, humor, and love of life.
He is survived by maternal grandmother, Lorraine Richardson; his mother, Cozetta “Cori” Garrett and her husband James; Dwayne A. Bartlett, Sr. and his wife Brenda; his sisters Maelynn Bartlett, Angel Adachi, and Allison Levine; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather Paul Durbin, and paternal grandparents Doyle and Sandra Bartlett.
