Medway- Dorothy Magdalene Day 81, passed away December 22, 2019 at her home in Medway. She was born February 14, 1938 in East Millinocket to Vera (Barrows) and Edmond Burleigh.

Predeceased by her husband Morris Day Sr. and son Morris Day Jr. Her parents and siblings; Henry, Clarissa, Lucy, Lula, Lila, Leland, Wallace, Francis, and Sylvia.

She is survived by her daughter Sharon Machia, and her sister Bernice and adopted sister Carol, 7 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Known as Doctor Dot. If you or your kids had a problem or were sick you always called Dotty so she could tell you what to do. She considered it her duty to help everyone. She worked as a CNA for many years. She and Bernice Nickerson, Louise Rush and Elizabeth Ward were the Katahdin Nursing Home gang.

Per wishes there will be no services. She will be laid to rest with her beloved husband who she lost in April and her son. Since she was a breast cancer survivor she would want everyone to continue donating for a cure.
