Obituary for Doreen Rideout

Doreen Louise (McNeal) Rideout, 72, of East Winn, Maine passed away peacefully on May 25, 2022.
Doreen was born February 26, 1950 in Presque Isle, Maine to the late Inez Irene and Earl Vincent McNeal. During visits to Maine she met her husband and Love of Her Life of Fifty Three years Jan Rideout Sr.
Doreen was predeceased by her three sisters Sheila Irwin, Donna Gifford and Sandra Bishop and two brothers Earl McNeal, Freddy McNeal and also a half brother Hazen Bishop.
She is survived by her Loving Husband Jan Rideout Sr, her four children Irene (Derek) Jones, Jan Rideout Jr & Jenn Tripp, Jeff (Lynette) Rideout and Leeann (Stephen) Robinson along with her Fifteen Grandchildren and Two Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters Rose Marie Currie, Pamela Thompson and brother Ronald McNeal.
All who were blessed to be touched by her understand that her existence and the imprint she left on our hearts exceed the quantity of time that she stayed here.
Doreen was a staple of the community and had a huge heart. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need and to host a benefit supper. She loved cooking, crocheting, watching game shows, playing a good game of skip bo or just taking car rides with Jan.
Not a day went by where Doreen didn’t talk about how much her children and family meant to her. Her family was arguably her most important achievement in life.
Graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 2PM at the East Winn Cemetery and immediately following will be a Celebration of Her Life at the Lee/Winn Elementary School.
