Obituary for Donald R. "Donnie" Elliott
Millinocket- Donald R. “Donnie” Elliott passed away on Sunday, December 26, 2021. He was born September 25, 1951, in Millinocket, the son of Keith and Edith (Murray) Elliott.
Donnie was a graduate of Stearns High School, class of 1970. In September of that same year, he married his high school sweetheart, Beckie (Bell) Elliott. Donnie was an Army veteran who served from 1971- 1973. Upon his return, he went to work for the Great Northern Paper Company until his retirement. He was a member Millinocket Elks Lodge 1521 and the American Legion Post 13.
Donnie was predeceased by his father, Keith. He is survived by his mother, Edith of Millinocket, and his wife Beckie, to whom he was married for 51 years; his son Shawn and his wife, Linda of Scarborough, Maine; his daughter Nicole and her husband, Heath Smith of East Waterboro, Maine; and his beloved granddaughters, Lydia Elliott, and Olivia and Emily Smith. He is also survived by two sisters; Patti and her husband, Toute Murphy of Millinocket, and Beverly Grant of Westbrook, Maine; a brother Danny and his wife, Peggy of Millinocket. Donnie will also be dearly missed by his closest friend, Richard Ouellette of Millinocket. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved dearly.
Donnie did not want a funeral service at this time. In honor of his wishes, a graveside service will be held at a later date. Gifts in memory of Donnie may be sent to CHCS Home Health and Hospice Services or a non-profit of your choice. Arrangements are by Lamson Funeral Home, Millinocket.
