Obituary for Delia M. Cummings

MILLINOCKET - Delia M. Cummings, 102, died after a short illness Monday, March 7, 2022, at her daughters home in Bulverde, Texas. She was born October 7, 1919, in Millinocket, the daughter of Edward and Anne Raymond.
Delia graduated from Stearns High School, class of 1937. Delia married Hugh Cummings and made their home in Millinocket. Delia was a life long parishioner of St. Martins of Tours Catholic Church and a member of the Daughters of Isabella.
Delia leaves behind a large loving family. She is survived by her daughter, Jean Chapman and husband, Donald, of Hollis, NH; granddaughter, Amy Hughes and husband, Scott, of San Antonio, TX;granddaughter, Sarah Petitto and husband, Gregory; great-grandchildren, Elena and Paxton of Rice, MN; granddaughter, Amanda Romanello and husband, Justin, of Hollis, NH; son, Hugh "Shorty" Cummings of Millinocket; granddaughter, Rachelle Gerry and husband, Chuck, and great-grandson, Boden, of Portland, ME; grandson, Martin Cummings and partner, Lisa Grant, of Yarmouth ME; daughter, Gail Gamboa and husband, Richard, from Bulverde, TX; granddaughter, Natalie Marroquin, husband, Dustin, and great-grandsons, Hunter, Layton and Teagan of Bulverde, TX; grandson, Ryan Gamboa of Honolulu, Hawaii; grandson, Dr. Peter Cummings, wife, Sarah Cummings, and great-grandson, Fionn of Bangor, ME; granddaughter, Shawna Rand, husband, James, and great-grandson, Shaymus of Yarmouth, ME; and several wonderful and loving nieces and nephews, with special acknowledgement of niece, Katherine Kitty and James Higgins of East Millinocket. In addition to her parents and husband, Delia was predeceased by siblings and their spouses, Helen Duprey and husband, Walter, Mona James and husband, Julian, Edward Raymond and wife, Jackie, and Ben Raymond; and two sons, Peter Cummings and John "Cuppy" Cummings.
Service will be Thursday July 21, 2022 at 10:00AM, St. Martin of Tours, Christ the Divine Mercy Parish, Interment to follow at Millinocket Cemetery.
