Lincoln - David A. Susen, husband, father, Pa, brother, father-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend was received by the open and inviting arms of his Savior on January 2, 2022. David was born July 6, 1952 to Edmund and Anna Susen, and grew up in New Jersey, but Maine became his home as an adult after having spent many summers as a child on Sysladobsis Lake. David enjoyed the outdoor life that Maine offered, and could be found skiing, boating on the ‘Tiny Tanic’, going to high school sporting events, and taking long walks on Grandma’s Moshav. In recent years, David enjoyed camping trips with his family on Bottle Lake, where they made great memories. An avid follower of Christ, David was an encourager for all, regardless of one’s personal beliefs. David always had a heart for Israel, and he was able to make several trips there. In his most recent trip to Israel, David spent six weeks living among the locals while working on a date farm. David loved fiercely, had a faith that was unending, generosity that had no bounds, patience that was bottomless, and was always there to lend a hand to anyone in need. Each of his children were uniquely cherished by him. His family is his legacy. David is survived by his wife of 30+ years, his “Beloved” Sarah; his children: Joshua, his wife Sara, and their children Calli (and Andrew), Isaac, Alyssa, and Noah; Joel, his wife Kimmy, and their children Adalie, Stella, and Emerson; Gabriel, his wife Heather, and their children Liam, Daniel and Benjamin; Rebekah and her dog Max; Elijah and his girlfriend Myka; Leah, her husband Tyler, and their daughter Mila; PVT David A. Susen II; Joseph; Esther; Solomon; and Elisheva. He is also survived by siblings, Barbara, her husband Ricky and their family; Kenneth, his wife Mary and their family; his special cousin Frannie; several brothers-and-sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to visit with the family 10 AM – 12 PM Sunday, January 9, 2022 at the Lamson Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln with a Memorial Service being held at 1 PM. Services will be livestreamed and may be viewed, and messages of condolence expressed, at David's Book of Memories at www.lamsonfh.com.
