Obituary

Mattawamkeag – David R. Sleeper, 89, passed away Sunday, September 22, 2019 at a Bangor hospital, surrounded by his loving wife and family. He was born February 20, 1930 in Sherman Mills, the son of Royce C. and Thelma D. (Sawyer) Sleeper.

David grew up in Sherman, and was a graduate of Sherman High School, class of 1947. While at Foster’s he was union president for a period of time. David attended the United Methodist Church of Mattawamkeag and the Congregational Church in Sherman when he was younger. He will be lovingly missed and fondly remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather. David was the best father two little girls could ever have or hope for.
