David Eugene O’Connell
Lee - David Eugene O’Connell, 76, died on Monday, April, 27, 2020
at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor after battling cancer. He was born in Rochester, New Hampshire on February 14, 1944. He graduated from John Bapst High School, class of ‘62 and Husson College. He was the son of Eugene Howard O’Connell of West Warwick, RI and Luda Eva (Worster) O’Connell of Springfield, ME who preceded him in death. He worked as an accountant at the Bangor Chamber of Commerce and spent the last 15 years retired in Lee, Maine.
Throughout his life he enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf and scuba diving. He is survived by his companion, Nellie Cole of Lee, Maine; his brother, Douglas J. O’Connell of Ocean Isle Beach, NC; a daughter, Cary L. (O’Connell) Moody of Fayetteville, NC; a son, Sean D. O’Connell of Las Vegas, Nevada and 2 grandchildren.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic and CDC regulations, the family is planning a private service at a later date.
Arrangements are by Lamson Funeral Home, Clay Chapel, Lincoln.
