Obituary for Daphine R. Pond
Lincoln – Daphine R. Pond, 71, wife of the late Walter Pond, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at her home in Lincoln. She was born January 31, 1948 in Lincoln, the daughter of Bruce and Daisy (Ireland) Flanders.
Daphine attended schools in Old Town. She enjoyed hunting, carpentry, and scrapbooking. She and her husband, Walter, spent many happy times antiquing, searching for obscure finds and reselling them.
Daphine is survived by a daughter, Lesley Robishaw a granddaughter, Rehamer Robishaw; two sisters in law, Gerri Ziegler and Patricia Miles; a very dear friend, Paulette Ugro; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her husband and parents, Daphine was predeceased by a brother, Charlie MacMillan.
Friends are invited to visit with the family on Tuesday, November 26 from 12:30 – 2 PM at the Lamson Funeral Home, Clay Chapel, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, where funeral services will be held at 2 PM with the Rev. Angelia Fowler officiating. Spring interment will be in Chester. Gifts in memory of Daphine may be sent to the West Enfield Church of God, 55 Old County Road, N, West Enfield, ME 04493.
