Obituary for Dale O. Jordan

Lincoln - Dale O. Jordan Jr., 56, died suddenly on August 31, 2022 at Penobscot Valley
Hospital. He was born in Lincoln on December 2, 1965, the son of the late Dale O. Jordan Sr.
and Norma L. (Squiers) Jordan. Dale graduated from Mattanawcook Academy, class of 1984. In
1982, he attained the rank of Eagle Scout. Dale enjoyed anything water and camp related, often
taking his canoe out for a ride on Cambolasse Pond where his family's camp is located. He was
an avid birdwatcher and enthusiast. Dale enjoyed cooking and often had a garden. He loved to
read and write; his way with words was clear to all who knew him. He often loved to recite
poems and excerpts from his favorite books and author, J.R.R. Tolkien. Dale could be caught
humming any classic rock or country tune as well as playing the electric bass. His family,
especially his children, were of the utmost importance to him and he enjoyed spending time
together with them whenever possible. In his early years, Dale worked at The Villager and Mr.
Mike’s Restaurants in Lincoln, and later for the Lincoln Pulp and Paper Mill, Sheridan D Smith
Inc., and Parker K. Bailey. Dale is survived by his mother, Norma Jordan; daughter, Merissa
Karam and her husband, Noah; son, Nicholas Jordan and his girlfriend, Ray-Ann Sprague;
sister, Brynn Cote and her husband, Geno; and brother, Trevor Jordan and his wife, Pam. He
also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and lifelong close friends.
Services will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at the First United Methodist
Church of Lincoln followed by a celebration of life. Donations in his memory to help with funeral
