Obituary for Claude L. Noble Sr.

Kingman – Claude L. Noble, Sr., 94, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2020 at a Bangor hospital. He was born December 5, 1925 in Kingman, the son of Maling E. and Ruth M. (Matson) Noble.

A World War II veteran, Claude served on the USS Beatty, a Sumner Class Destroyer. Through the years, he was owner of a local store, a school bus driver, a highway postal contract driver, and MDOT laborer from which he retired after 22 years. For many years, he spent winters in Florida with his wife, and they enjoyed playing cards, bingo, shuffleboard, fishing, and going out to eat. He will be missed by his family and those who knew him.

Claude is survived by his wife of 69 years, Marilyn S. (Osgood) Noble; five sons, Dwight Osgood and Pamela, Daniel Noble and Vicki, Claude Noble, Jr. and Marcia, Thomas Noble and Diane, and Joey Noble and Cheryl; eight grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and several step grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Claude was predeceased by a son, Carl Noble and a daughter in law, Mildred Noble.

Graveside services, with military honors, will be held 2 PM Saturday, October 24 at the Kingman Cemetery. Arrangements are by Lamson Funeral Home, Clay Chapel, Lincoln.
