Lincoln – Charlotte Whitley, 83, went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 15, 2021 at a Howland health care facility. She was born April 8, 1937 in Athol, Massachusetts, the daughter of Alfred and Gladys (Kendall) Mundell.

Charlotte loved going to Bingo, and especially cooking for her family. She was a very easy going person, and could always find the humor in a situation and make people laugh. She had a big heart and loved everybody, which made her much beloved among those who knew her. Charlotte was born the youngest of 14 children, and is the last of her family to pass away – her passing marks the end of her generation in her family. She was married to Donald E. Whitley for 56 years, but she would be quick to let anyone know that Elvis was her second love, but it was a close second! She will be lovingly missed and fondly remembered by those whose lives she touched.

In addition to her husband, Donald, Charlotte is survived by four children, Duane Lehtola and Suann Lamprey, Daryl Lehtola and his wife Gale, Charyl Strew and her husband Clayton, and Mark Lehtola; 12 grandchildren; many great grandchlildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Charlotte was predeceased by her parents, siblings, and a daughter in law, Nancy Lehtola.

Friends are invited to visit with the family 2-4 & 6-8 PM Tuesday, January 19 at the Lamson Funeral Home, Clay Chapel, 7 Lee Road Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 10 AM Wednesday, January 20 at the Lincoln Center Church of God, 499 Main Street, Lincoln, with the Rev. Rusty Dicker, pastor, presider. Spring interment will be at the Lincoln Cemetery. Services will be livestreamed and may be viewed, and messages of condolence expressed, at Charlotte’s Book of Memories at www.lamsonfh.com
