Obituary for Charles A. Beaupain

Millinocket – Charles A, Beaupain, 74, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 31, 2022. He was born April 27, 1948, in Millinocket, the son of Henry and Philis (Barnett) Beaupain.
Charlie grew up in Millinocket, and was a graduate of Stearns High School, class of 1966. He worked at Great Northern as a Papermaker for 30 years before retiring. He did home appraisals while he was still working at the mill and continued doing them for many years after. A communicant of Christ the Divine Mercy Parish, Charlie was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, and a life member of the Millinocket Elks Lodge #1521. Charlie was an avid hunter, trapper, fisherman, and outdoorsman. His family was most important to him, and he loved them and spending time together. Charlie will be remembered as a vivid storyteller and talented cook. He enjoyed growing his own produce in his garden. Many happy hours were spent listening to music, playing cards with Charlie, and his favorite game, Cribbage. Charlie will be lovingly missed and fondly remembered by his family and those who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Judy L. (Gagnier) Beaupain; two children, Bryce Beaupain-Kulow and her husband Michael, and Jeremy Beaupain and his wife Lois Fowler-Beaupain; five grandchildren, Robert, Zachary, and Reese Kulow, and Norah and Charles Beaupain; siblings Candace Hume, Dean Beaupain and his wife Elaine, Keith Beaupain, Jil Beaupain, Kim Peters and her husband John, and John “Jocko” Beaupain and his wife Judy; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In addition to his parents, Charles was predeceased by a brother, David Beaupain, a brother-in-law Robert Hume, and a sister-in-law Silvia Beaupain.
Friends are invited to visit with the family 6-8 PM Thursday, September 8, 2022 at the Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack Street, Millinocket. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00AM Friday, September 9, 2022 at Christ the Divine Mercy Parish, St. Martin Of Tours Catholic Church, 19 Colby Street, Millinocket with the Rev Dominic Savio, pastor, presider. Interment will be at the Millinocket Cemetery. Gifts in memory of Charlie may be sent to the American Heart Association, 51 US Route 1, Suite M, Scarborough, Maine, 04074.
