Millinocket—Cecile “Sue” Hartt, 101, died peacefully January 5, 2023. She was born November 28, 1921 in Millinocket, ME a daughter of Onezime and Anne (Cyr) Cormier.
As the matriarch of the family, she will be lovingly remembered for the wonderful and compassionate care shown to many family members over the years. During her younger years she was active in the community. She was an independent woman who drove until the age of 98. She would pick up the “girls” to go play Bingo every week.
She is survived by her children Wanda, Wesley, Charlotte and her husband Herb, and daughter-in-law Bobbi Jean; grandchildren Shawn (who provided care and stayed with her until the end) and husband Mike, Ronnie and wife Erin, Randy and wife Betty, Ricky and wife Carmon, and Darcy and wife Delsa; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; niece Marcy and husband Daryl and nephew Peter and wife Norma; many other nieces and nephews and a special friend Shirley Voisine.
She was predeceased by her husband Wendell, son Skip, her parents and all her siblings.
Friends may call 2-5 PM Friday January 13, 2023 at the Lamson Funeral Home 11 Tamarack Street, Millinocket. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10AM Saturday at Christ the Divine Mercy Parish, St. Martin Tours Catholic Church, Millinocket. Spring burial will be at Millinocket Cemetery.
