Obituary for Carroll A. Lyons Sr.
Medway - Carroll A. Lyons Sr., 80, passed away Tuesday January 1, 2019 at his residence. He was born August 10, 1938, in Medway, the son of Ray and Evelyn (Spinney) Lyons.
Carroll was raised in Medway and attended local schools. He married Priscilla Pelkey on December 28, 1957 and they would share sixty one years of marriage together. He worked as a farmer, construction worker and as a woodsman. He retired in 1995 but continued to remain very active. He will be remembered as a strong, loving, caring man and father-in-law who loved his family and community.
He is survived by his wife Priscilla Lyons of Medway, two sons; Samuel Lyons and his wife Crystal of Woodville, Dennis Lyons and his wife Joyce of Portsmouth, NH, six daughters; Amanda Campbell, Mary Grant and her husband Martin, Vicki Austin and her husband Mark, Kristi Bouchard and her husband Ricky, Shelly Lee and her husband Tom all of Medway, Diane Lyons-Segee and her husband Mike of Hartford, as well as twenty grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. He also leaves behind six siblings; Ancel Lyons and his wife Pat of Medina, NY, Virgil Lyons and his wife Sylvia, Everett Lyons and his wife Kim all of Woodville, Rebecca Markie of Hartford, CT, Sharon Hutchins and her husband Robert of Medway, Sylvia Hasey of Bradford, NH, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a son Carroll Lyons Jr., a grandson Anthony Lyons, and a son-in-law Jeffery Campbell.
Friends may call 2 PM Saturday January 5, 2019 at Lamson Funeral Home 11 Tamarack St. Millinocket, where a memorial service will be conducted at 3 PM with Deacon Danny Watson officiating. Arrangements in care of Lamson Funeral Home.
