Obituary for Carolyn A. Bartlett

Lee – Carolyn A. Bartlett, 82, got her wings and went home to be with her Lord and also with her husband, Wayne Bartlett, on Friday, April 22, 2022. She was born July 17, 1939 in Prentiss, the daughter of William E. and Mildred B. (Jipson) Worster.

Carolyn worked in the local schools for many years, spending most of that time as school cook at Lee Academy. She was a faithful member of the Lee Baptist Church, and was always up for a car ride, especially through her “stomping grounds” of Kingman and Prentiss. When she was 80, she crossed off a long time item on her “bucket list” by going for a ride in a hot air balloon! Carolyn loved her family, and many happy memories were formed spending time with family members at her camp on Madagascal Lake.

Carolyn is survived by four children, Wayne Bartlett, Jr. and his wife Bonnie, Billy Bartlett and Amy King, Andy Bartlett and his wife Sue, and Christine Bartlett; four grandchildren, Billie Jo Theriault and her husband C.J., Alicia Demers and her husband Kevin, Jennifer Jorgensen and her husband Jay, and Courtney Green; two siblings, Douglas Worster and his wife Suzanne and Cynthia Keene and her husband Dana; and several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her husband and parents, Carolyn was predeceased by a son, David Bartlett, a grandson, Ricky Tozier, III, brother, Dwight Worster, and two sisters, Candyce Hanscom, and Christine Worster.

Graveside services will be held 3 PM Thursday, May 5 at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Lee, with the Rev. Mitch Bickford officiating. Arrangements are by Lamson Funeral Home, Clay Chapel, Lincoln. Gifts in memory of Carolyn may be sent to the Lee Baptist Church, 2870 Lee Road, Lee, ME 04455. Services will be live streamed and may be viewed, and messages of condolence expressed, at Carolyn’s Book of Memories at www.lamsonfh.com.
