Obituary for Arthur E. Porter
Lincoln – Arthur E. Porter, 49, died Monday, December 2, 2019 in Lincoln. He was born July 31, 1970 in Lincoln.
Arthur loved working in the woods and being around and with his family. He loved being the center of attention and making everyone laugh, usually at his own expense. For several years, he worked at Burleigh’s Sawmill in Lee.
Arthur is survived by his father, Joseph C. Porter, Sr. and his wife Della of Lee; his mother, Kathy L. (Coffin) Dill and her husband Darrell of Lincoln; two sons, Noah Porter and Liam Porter, both of Millinocket; siblings, Laurie Gagnon and her husband Paul of Millinocket, Joseph C. Porter, Jr. and his wife Tammy of Lincoln, Brenda DeLaite and her husband Rick of Lakeville, Myra Beach and her husband Arthur of Waite, and Crystal Drew of Lincoln, Darrell Dill, Jr. of Lincoln, and Eric J. Prescott Dill of Lincoln, and Tina Dill of Lincoln; maternal grandmother Myra Dobson of Lincoln; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Arthur’s brother, Joseph Porter, Jr. and his wife Tammy for the loving and devoted care given to Arthur during his illness.
A Celebration of Arthur’s life will be held on Saturday December 14, 2019 from 6:00 P.M. to 12 midnight at the Lee Snowmobile Club, 108 Skunk Hill Road in Lee. Graveside services will be held in the springtime at Woodlawn Cemetery in Lee. Gifts in memory of Arthur may be sent to help defray funeral expenses to Lamson Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, ME 04457.
