Millinocket - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Anthony Paul DiCentes, 48. Tony, as he was known by many, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Northern Lights Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, Maine. Tony was born March 7, 1972 to Paul and Sheila (Monaco) DiCentes of Millinocket.
Tony was a 1990 graduate of Stearns High School, where he played football, baseball, hockey, and track & field. He attended University of Maine and later attended Eastern Maine Community College, graduating in 2012 with a medical assistant degree.
Tony took great pride in his Italian heritage, Chicago Bears and his Harley Davidson. He enjoyed taking rides with the American Legion Riders and doing fundraisers with them for the community. Tony was easy to like and had a sense of humor that could have you laughing for hours!
Tony was predeceased by his father, Paul on January 16, 2021. He is survived by his mother, Sheila of Millinocket, a brother, Jonathan and wife Erica of North Waterboro, Uncle John DiCentes, Aunts Linda Leavitt (Richard) and Carolyn Arey; and several cousins and friends who were very special to Tony.
Friends are invited to visit with the family 6-8 PM Friday, March 5, 2021 at the Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack Street, Millinocket. A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM Saturday, March 6 at Christ the Divine Mercy Parish, St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 19 Colby Street, Millinocket, with the Rev. Bruce Siket, pastor, presider. Interment will be at the Millinocket Cemetery in the springtime.

Due to pandemic restrictions, attendance at the mass will be limited to family.
