Carroll Plantation - Annie was reunited with her loved ones in heaven after a brief illness, during which she was surrounded by her family.
Annie was the matriarch of her family. She was married to Ed for over fifty years and raised 8 children, making their home in Carroll Plantation. She always was willing to listen, never judged, offered a strong shoulder to cry on to anyone. She brought light to your day just by the huge smile she always wore. She was known to many as Ma, but better known as Gram. She took part in babysitting for almost all of her grandchildren over the years. She enjoyed bingo, slots, gardening, and canning her own veggies. Annie had great talent when it came to wreaths and quilts. Her wreaths have been sent all over the U.S.A and could be seen on many local doors and windows. One would often find her quilts on display at the local fair, if you were fortunate enough you would find them at the foot of your bed. Her friends would say you would know Ann's quilts because of her unique hand stitching. Annie was a lifelong member of Springfield Congregational Church where she enjoyed participating in church suppers, Ladies Circle, the thrift shop. Annie served the Town of Carroll as a selectman well into her 80's, receiving a distinguished honor from State of Maine for lifelong service.
