Millinocket – Andrea J. Rush, 67, died Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at her home in Millinocket. She was born September 7, 1952 in Bangor, the daughter of Edwin and Colleen (Adams) Pasanen.
Andrea grew up in East Millinocket, and was a graduate of Schenck High School, class of 1970. She went on to complete nursing school, and embarked on a career in nursing, which was her passion. Andrea was a nurse at Great Northern Paper Company for many years, where she was was well known and respected. She also worked with Community Health and Counseling for many years, as well as Katahdin Nursing Home. Andrea loved animals, especially horses. Many happy hours were spent at her camp on South Twin Lake. Andrea will be missed by those who knew her.
She is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Rush and her partner Jeff Rushlow of Millinocket; a brother, Peter Pasanen and his wife Kim of East Millinocket; a grandson, Shane Rushlow; niece and nephew, Taimi Pasanen of East Millinocket and Nicholas Pasanen of Bangor; and several cousins, relatives, and friends. Andrea was predeceased by a son, Peter John Rush, and her parents.
At Andrea’s request, services will be private. Arrangements are by Lamson Funeral Home, Millinocket.
