Obituary for Alphonse "Al" Jandreau

Millinocket – Alphonse β€œAl” Jandreau, 91 died Sunday, September 29, 2019 at a Millinocket Health Care facility. He was born January 1, 1928 in Connors, New Brunswick, the son of Alfred and Euphemie (Mary) Oakes Jandreau.
Al married Beatrice Berube on July 29, 1947. Al worked many jobs in the Millinocket area and retired head of Maintenance from the Millinocket School Department in 1993. Al was a life member of the Millinocket Elks Lodge, 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus and a lifelong communicant at St. Martin of Tours church.
Al is survived by his son Albert V. Jandreau and his wife Joy, son Jeffrey Jandreau and wife Holly, son Dale Jandreau and wife Sarah, son Mark A. Jandreau and wife Christain, daughter Mary Kay Jandreau, daughter Dorine Rackliff and husband Christopher, as well as nineteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; two sisters, Albertine Mendonson and Lillian Maranto.
Al was predeceased by his wife Beatrice of 57 years in 2014 and seven siblings.
Family and friends are invited to visiting hours at Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack Street, Millinocket from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 1. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 2, at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 19 Colby Street, Millinocket, with the Rev. Bruce Siket, pastor, presider. Interment will be at Millinocket Cemetery.
