Alberta L. Plourde
West Enfield and Medway – Alberta L. Plourde, 84, died Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at her home. She was born September 22, 1936 in Lincoln, the daughter of Claude and Minnie (Beathem) White.

Alberta grew up in Lincoln, and attended Lincoln schools. She and her husband, James, lived in Medway for 20 years, where they raised their family. After, they owned and operated Green Valley Golf Course in West Enfield for many years. This suited her well, as Alberta was a very social person, and she greatly enjoyed meeting the golfers and interacting with them. Alberta was an avid reader, and often enjoyed a good book. She loved spending time with her family, and Many happy memories were formed and shared at their camp, where Alberta liked spending time. She very much enjoyed going out to eat, especially since it meant she didn’t have to cook! Her and James were regulars at the 95er in Howland.

Alberta is survived by her husband of nearly 68 years, James Plourde; four children, David Plourde and his wife Cindy, Sheila Hamlin and her husband Jay, Linda Madore and her husband Darrell, and Judy Curtis and her husband Steve; nine grandchildren, Patricia, Jennifer, Amy, Jason, Dawn, Kelly, Jamie, Stephanie, and Samantha; nine great grandchildren, Olivia, Avery Rose, Elsie, Nathan, Matthew, Grace, Ella, Thomas and Hannah; a special brother in law, Norman Plourde; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, Alberta was predeceased by a special sister, Jeanette Fall.

Friends are invited to visit with the family 10 AM – 12 PM Monday, October 12 at the Lamson Funeral Home, Clay Chapel, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln.
