Abby graduated from Mattanawcook Academy, Class of 1995, and attended the University of Maine at Presque Isle. She worked at Jubilee Daycare and the RSU 67 School System before beginning her most favorite job of all, full time Mom to Lilly and Tanner. Abby literally kept the home fires going, 4 weeks at a time, while Andy shipped out. Abby was a passionate and loyal Patriots, Red Sox, Maine Hockey and Mattanawcook Lynx fan. The only thing she was more passionate and loyal about was being a friend. She leaves a void in many people’s lives as big as her smile.
Abby is survived by her husband, Andy Edwards, her daughter Lillian Elizabeth and her son Tanner Leeman; brother, Todd Chessie and his fiancé Jessie Sutherland and their children Myka and Laken; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Alan and Gloria Edwards; brother-in-law Will Edwards and his wife Andrea and son Aiden; stepfather Lou York; and, too many close aunts, uncles, cousins and friends to list. So many of these people were of great support to her in the last four years.
She was predeceased by her Mom, Jane York and her Dad, Fearman “Tom” Chessie; and, maternal grandparents, Leeman and Bertha Bowers and Blanche Bowers; and, paternal grandparents, Fearman and Clara Chessie.
